This site has been built to make UK on line radio listening very simple. Simply select the station from the drop down menu, then minimise the page and enjoy your favourite radio while you work.

The UK has an unrivalled array of national radio stations, from the unique Radio 4, to commercial stations like Talk Sport. We have included LBC as it now broadcasts nationwide on DAB, and is the home of the Whale. Although it’s a mainly satellite only station now, we’ve also included Radio Caroline because it deserves to be heard by as many people as possible, and was the pioneer in commercial music radio; plus we love them to bits.

BBC local radio is unique & simply wouldn’t exist if the BBC was a commercial network. It offers local news and programming across the UK. You will even find legends like Dave Cash, Andy Archer & Roger Twiggy Day.

Local commercial stations are becoming a dying breed, and certainly not what was intended when the licenses were first granted. Big boys like Heart have taken over, however, most still offer some limited local programming.

Love pirate radio? Well there are some names here that might surprise you like Radio Veronica, Caroline, Radio Seagull, and Radio Northsea International.

Community radio stations are truly local “not for profit” broadcasters, usually run by volunteers, they can be great, & are well worth a try. We are currently building a database of UK community Radio. This will be added soon. 28/08/2009

For the BBC local stations, you must update your Realplayer to the latest version if using IE8. Sorry, the BBC local streams only work with internet explorer. If anyone has a good streaming script to allow real player to work in firefox, please contact us.
