The world of Radio Caroline on your PC
Pirate Radio (Well Almost)
Radio Caroline is a British radio station that started transmissions on Easter Saturday, 28th March 1964 from a ship anchored in international waters off the coast of Felixstowe, Suffolk, England. It was unlicensed by any government for most of its life and it was labelled a pirate radio station.
Although one of a number of unlicensed radio stations based on ships anchored off Britain, Radio Caroline was the first such station to broadcast all day using the English language. This, together with the station's tenacity in surviving for some 45 years, has established Radio Caroline as a household name for offshore radio.
Radio Caroline continues to broadcast from it’s Maidstone Studio’s (& occasionally from the Ross Revenge) live on Sky, the internet & many FM feeds. Click on the drop down menu to listen live.

Tony Allan. The Leg-end Lives On
Perhaps the greatest pirate of them all, Tony Allan was as much part of Radio Caroline as the MiAmigo. He had one
of the best and wittiest voices on radio. A superb craftsman of his trade. Whether it was Radio Scotland, RNI, Caroline, Radio Nova or the Voice of Peace, he was always the same Tony Allan. A rare presenter who spoke to you and not at you. God bless him.
